  3. Thank you for giving back. This is a value I try to teach my children. We just started with raising chickens and each child has let their friends name a baby. So nice to see the excitement.

  4. Good luck to all. I enjoy reading and learning new things from this magazine. I was even more surprised that my granddaughter and her hen Lois, was featured in the magazine. That was truly the best prize.

    1. Thanks, Melinda, do you mind if we print your comment in the conversation section of our magazine?

  7. Just finishing up our first coop, and we are excited to enter the world of chickens and eggs. In our case, the chickens will come before the eggs, lol. Thanks for your sage information and advice, and great giveaway prizes!

  8. Love your website! It has been my go-to helper as we adopted full grown chickens, care for the layers, and now raise chicks. It has been a fun and worthwhile experience. I enjoy reading about old and new methods and products in the care of poultry. Your website is egg-cellent!
Many thanks for all that you do!

  9. Have completely enjoyed my Mother Earth magazines for several year’s
This is is first time I’m entering their contest. Have seen so many in the past
just didn’t take the time to enter
    Thank you Mother Earth

  10. We are starting a new flock, unfortunately a neighbor had dogs they let run wild. They killed our little flock. Our dogs left them alone but these dogs broke down the gate and just killed them. It wasn’t to get food, it was just to kill. Those dogs are long gone and we are home during the day now so we can watch them better. I was the crazy chicken lady, I am ready to be crazy chicken lady again. The chickens provided not only eggs but endless entertainment. Reading all the chicken articles in your magazine is really making want to try again.

  12. Your magazine has been so helpful with learning more about chickens and making their habitat on our farmstead even more enjoyable. I won’t lie, it’s a delight for me to see that I’ve raised food for my family and am teaching them to do the same some day. Plus chickens are fun!

  13. Very nice products. Chickens are so amazing! Some of them have the craziest personalities! My Dad & I used to raise quails as well & they were very interesting too. Good luck to all!

  14. Have had our chickens for about 9 months now and really enjoy the fresh eggs. Watching their behaviors and having them eat from my hand is delightful. Have two hens currently setting and can hardly wait to see if they hatch!
